Teknobyen – Trondheim development
Teknobyen is an ambitious urban project centrally located between NTNU, Sintef, and St. Olavs Hospital in Trondheim, Norway. The concept of Trondheim as a technology capital was first launched in the 1980s to combat industrial decline and business relocation. This foundational work led to the inception of Teknobyen, beginning with the conversion of the old tram depot at Elgeseter into a pioneering office hub for new ventures.
Since then, Trondheim has steadily achieved many of its original goals in its pursuit of becoming Norway's technology capital. By 2025, Teknobyen will encompass a total of 113,000 square meters across five modern commercial buildings. The development is designed to foster collaboration and offers a range of amenities and experiences for visitors and the 4,500 employees at the site. I am delighted to have contributed to the strategic development with Natural State and look forward to the grand opening.
